Using external sync with rampart

Post by Bentley »

Hi,
First of all , I'd like to express huge appreciation that the designs for keep, rampart etc. are shared in the way they are.
I built rampart and it works really well.
One thing I'm not sure about is how external sync is intended to work. I tried putting a PO sync signal on the input, and then connected TX to the Analogue 367 pins with the bytebeats sketch, but it didn't seem to do much. Is there a significance that the sync goes to the TX pin?
There's nothing obvious in the sketch which handles a sync pulse.
Any tips greatly appreciated!!

Sorry to have neglected this! I had begun to think no one uses the forum.

As you have devined, there is no sync handling in the bytebeats sketch as yet.

Obviously, I should have put the sync on RX but had the pin occupied and no support for midi anyway. So, it was a compromise.

I'll have a look at adding sync to bytebeats, it should be fairly straight forward :)

Thanks for your kind words!

If you connect OTHER signals which are not just clock ticks, for instance, the output of kastle you can get obtain pass through of the audio and input for pins 367. Just a note. But that's not sync :)
